An established small animal practice in Oldham, Greater Manchester is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join its friendly and collaborative team on a permanent, full-time basis. The Practice

This modern, well-equipped small animal practice is home to a passionate and supportive team of Veterinary Surgeons, Registered Veterinary Nurses, Patient Care Assistants, and reception staff. The clinic is committed to delivering outstanding clinical care and investing in advanced diagnostic and surgical capabilities.

Facilities include:
• Digital X-ray and dental radiography
• Referral-level ultrasound equipment (cardiac and abdominal probes)
• Endoscopy, bronchoscopy, and rhinoscopy
• TTA kit and electro-cautery
• Tonometer and slit lamp

The practice fosters a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and shared best practice, ensuring clinicians are empowered to make informed decisions and develop professionally.

The Role

The successful Veterinary Surgeon will:
• Manage a varied small animal caseload, including both medical and surgical cases
• Take the lead on diagnostic investigations and treatment planning
• Deliver high standards of first opinion veterinary care
• Support and mentor colleagues within the clinical team
• Build strong, trusting relationships with clients and provide exceptional customer care
• Contribute to maintaining and enhancing clinical standards across the practice

This role would suit an experienced vet who is confident working independently, values clinical autonomy, and enjoys being part of a supportive and progressive team.

Candidate Requirements

• MRCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
• Proven experience in small animal practice
• Confident in both medical and surgical cases
• Strong diagnostic and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and client care abilities
• A team-oriented approach with mentoring capabilities
• Commitment to ongoing CPD and professional development
