Your role:

You will play a key part in driving the performance of the Building Repairs & Maintenance in-house delivery and project works teams.

You will work closely with a supervisor and with other work planners as an effective team, ensuring colleagues are supported and absence covered.

You will be responsible for ensuring that works are scheduled, planned and allocated in a way that optimises the productivity of operatives and ensures timely completion. You will also be responsible for providing accurate management information and data for appropriate claiming of work costs.

Whilst we do operate within the flexitime scheme, cover for this service within the teams predominantly operates between the hours of 07:30 to 16:30.

About you:

You will have experience of working in a Building / Construction industry or related field of activity, especially in relation to local authority, schools and social housing property repairs and maintenance.

You will exhibit the Team WIgan Behaviours on a daily basis, maintaining effective working relationships, whilst demonstrating how you positively engage with managers/staff at all levels of the organisation, colleagues, other partners and customers. In addition, you will be enthusiastic for the role, be willing to suggest and try new approaches and be keen to contribute and make a difference.

You will also require a good understanding of the value and use of new technology to improve and modernise working processes. You will also have the competency in utilising a number of databases and Microsoft applications daily.

About us:
