Our client specialises in designing, installing, operating and maintaining professional lighting and technical systems for entertainment venues, holiday destinations, hotels and theatres. They take pride in delivering reliable, high-quality solutions and in making complex lighting systems easy to understand and operate.
They’re now looking for a Lighting Technician to support their projects across the UK. The role will involve a mix of installation, maintenance, and operational support, working both independently and as part of a wider technical team.
Key Responsibilities of the Lighting Technician:
• Install, maintain and operate professional lighting systems with travel to client sites as required.
• Supporting lighting installations from planning through testing and client handover
• Programming and operating lighting control systems where required
• Assisting with live events and productions when needed
• Working closely with colleagues and clients to meet technical requirements
• Completing clear, accurate documentation and handovers
Skills and Experience required:
• Proven experience working as a Lighting Technician in theatre, entertainment venues, or technical installations
• Confident with industry-standard lighting equipment and control systems
• Practical understanding of power distribution, DMX/data networks and fault-finding
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently on solo tasks
• Strong communication skills and a professional, approachable manner
• Flexible, solutions-focused attitude with a commitment to high standards
• Full UK driving licence (preferred)
Desirable (Not Essential):
• Experience with architectural or installed lighting systems
• Basic knowledge of sound or AV systems
• Rigging and working-at-height experience
• Relevant industry qualifications or training
