Your new role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in St Helens. This is an exciting opportunity to support children in their early years and help create a nurturing, stimulating learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging EYFS curriculum activities.
- Support children's learning and development through play-based and structured activities.
- Promote positive behaviour and ensure a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
- Work closely with staff and parents to support individual needs.
- Assist in personal care (nappy changing)
- Work on developing the children's social and motor skills
- Prepare and organise learning resources and materials
- Support children with SEND and implement individual education plans
- Assist with setting up and tidying away the classroom and outdoor learning areas
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience working within an EYFS setting (essential)
- Relevant qualifications (Level 2 or Level 3 in Early Years or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of EYFS framework and child development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, caring and patient approach
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
- Full right to work in the UK
