The Role – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who have a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. You will provide targeted support both in class and through small-group or 1:1 interventions, helping pupils to access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.

You will work collaboratively with teachers and the SENCO to implement personalised support strategies, promote positive behaviour, and encourage pupil engagement.

This Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant role is particularly well suited to Psychology, Education, or Child Development graduates seeking meaningful experience in a school setting.

Ideal Candidate – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

• Degree at 2:1 or above (Psychology or related subjects beneficial)
• Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Passion for inclusive education and supporting young people
• Previous experience in SEN, care, or youth work is advantageous but not essential
• Must have the right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)
