Summary
Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust (CLCH) delivers the Stroke and General community in-patient rehabilitation service for Barnet as well as offering some step-down and non-weight-bearing beds across the wards.
The units provide a comprehensive community-based step-down facility that supports patients’ rehabilitation and recovery in a community setting, with an active therapy programme.
Ongoing assessments for those patients who are medically optimised but who require further assessments (typically Continuing Healthcare (CHC) assessments) outside of the acute setting in relation to their health and social needs and future living arrangements are also undertaken where necessary.
All run a 24/7 service with nurses always present and doctors/therapists available in core hours.
The Speciality Doctor will work within a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals including nursing staff, pharmacists, allied health professionals and medical staff. You will undertake a range of essential routine tasks under the supervision and delegated authority of the relevant senior doctor in charge of the clinical area in which you are employed.
We are proud to be one of the largest community healthcare providers in the country, with more than 4,500 colleagues caring for over four million people across London and Hertfordshire. Every day, our teams bring their skill, compassion, and determination to the people who depend on us.
What inspires us is at the heart of who we are: when we work together, we can help people move forward in ways that truly matter. Our teams support children as they take their first steps in life, and they stand beside adults as they rebuild strength, confidence, and independence. From newborn health visiting to community nursing, stroke rehabilitation, and palliative care, we are there for people through some of life’s most important moments.
