The role
The Student Records and Assessment Team are split into two distinct teams; Student Records Team and Assessment Team.
The Student Records Team is responsible for the student record throughout the entire student lifecycle – from initial enrolment to graduation. They are responsible for key university-wide processes such as enrolment, module choice, change in circumstances, extenuation, arranging examinations and preparing data for graduation booklets.
The Assessment Team are responsible for delivering university-wide assessment processes, including the management of assessment submission dates, assessment marks, progression, the processing of awards, and reporting and registration.
The department
Registry Services plays a vital role in supporting the student journey and in ensuring the integrity of academic administration across the institution. The service is structured into three key functional areas: Records and Assessments, which manages student records and coordinates assessment processes; Student Systems and Data, which oversees the development and maintenance of core student systems, ensures data quality and our external statutory returns; and Student Policy, Casework and Compliance, which leads on academic policy, manages complex student cases, and ensures regulatory compliance incorporating UKVI compliance. Together, these teams work collaboratively to deliver efficient, student-focused services that underpin the university’s academic mission.
