We are seeking an experienced Project Co-Ordinator to support a major capital project involving a full building refurbishment.
This role will act as a vital link between GPA, ISS, and the Principal Contractor, ensuring smooth coordination of Facilities Management (FM) enabling works and compliance with health and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Job Description
The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical or Hard FM background, with proven experience in project management or site supervision.
You will be qualified and competent in managing isolations, issuing permits to work, and approving RAMS. This position requires exceptional stakeholder management skills, a logical approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Issue Permits to Work and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Request and review RAMS during the PCSA period, escalating any gaps or risks.
Maintain FM oversight of health and safety within the building during works.
Collaborate with the Principal Contractor to align FM enabling works with the project programme.
Report progress on FM enabling works and update on reactive works impacting the project.
Coordinate handover activities, attend snagging meetings, and manage FM requirements post-handover.
Manage reporting and investigation of disruptive events (e.g., fire alarms, evacuations) related to works.
Update asset registers and ensure PPM schedules are in place for handed-over areas.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 in Electrical Installations.
BS7671 – 18th Edition qualified.
Experienced in issuing Permits to Work and managing isolations.
Competent in approving RAMS and managing health and safety.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Understanding of commercial contracts.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
Highly organised, responsive, and able to work under pressure.
