Frimley Park Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivatedPaediatric Band 7 Senior Sister/Charge Nurseto join our busyEmergency Departmenton a12-month maternity cover, working26 hours per week.
This is a pivotal leadership role within a fast-paced emergency care environment. You will act as an expert clinical practitioner and an inspirational role model, leading the delivery of safe, high-quality, child-centred care for all patients attending the department.
Alongside providing visible clinical leadership, you will contribute to the day-to-day operational management of the Emergency Department, supporting effective workforce planning and the efficient use of staff, equipment, and resources. You will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to maintain high standards of care, promote best practice, and support service improvement.

Support the Emergency Department in achieving government targets and departmental objectives.
Assist with budgeting and resource management, including appropriate use of supplies and agency staff.
Participate in recruitment, selection, staff appraisals, and performance monitoring, supporting staff development.
Manage sickness and absence in line with Trust policy.
Attend meetings and communicate key information to staff.
Recognise and respond appropriately to violence or aggression, following Trust policies.
Respond swiftly and effectively in emergency situations to ensure patient safety.
Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment.
Support complaint resolution and investigation processes.
Adhere to statutory regulations, codes of practice, local policies, and health and safety requirements.
Undertake any additional duties as requested to ensure smooth departmental operations.
