Are you highly organised, friendly and calm under pressure? Do you enjoy working in a busy, people-focused environment where no two days are the same? If so, we’d love to hear from you.

Livingstone Primary School is looking for an efficient and enthusiastic School Administrator to join our hardworking and dedicated staff team. This is a key role at the heart of a happy, caring and successful school, providing high-quality administrative support to the headteacher and staff.

As the first point of contact for families, visitors and callers, you will need excellent communication and telephone skills, a professional manner and a welcoming approach. You will thrive in a fast-paced office environment, using your initiative, managing competing priorities and working both independently and as part of a close-knit team.

You will work closely with the School Business Manager, Learning Mentor and Headteacher, and play a vital role in the smooth day-to-day running of the school.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have previous experience in an administrative role
  • Be highly organised, efficient and able to multitask
  • Prioritise workload and manage time effectively
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be friendly, approachable and professional
  • Demonstrate tact, confidentiality and discretion

If you have experience in a primary school or a very busy, customer-facing role this would be an advantage. In return, we offer:

  • A supportive and enthusiastic staff team
  • Engaged, enthusiastic pupils
  • A welcoming, community-focused school with a strong family atmosphere

For further details, please refer to the job description and person specification.

Interested? Complete an application form and supporting statement outlining your suitability for the post and how you meet the requirements of the person specification. Completed applications should be returned by email to: jo.oxendale@livingstone.tameside.sch.uk by midnight on the Friday 30th January 2026.

Please note: Livingstone Primary School is in the process of joining Stamford Park Trust, anticipated in Autumn 2026. Livingstone Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful applicant will be subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks, including a social media check and an enhanced DBS check. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity with children.
