Thank you for your interest in the position of Welfare & Support Assistant at St Alban's RC High School. You would be joining a community at a very exciting time as you will have a significant role in helping us to give our pupils an 'excellent' educational experience.
St Alban's is a mixed 11-6 Voluntary Aided Catholic School in North Torfaen. We are a Catholic community which strives to uphold strong spiritual and moral values so that our pupils can be the best they can be. Estyn stated in July 2023,
'that there is a strong working relationship between pupils and teachers which is based on mutual respect. Teachers' enthusiasm for their subject engages pupils in their learning and staff encourage pupils to set high aspirations for themselves'.

The Governing Body are seeking to appoint a Welfare Assistant to join our team. This is a very hands-on role and the suitable candidate will take care of the personal, social and physical needs of pupils. Ideally, we are looking for people who are experienced in giving care but there will be comprehensive induction and training support for you. You may have a background in child or adult care and we would love to hear from you.
