32.5 Hours per week, 39 Weeks per year (Term time).
The Governing Body is seeking to appoint an inspirational and dynamic Literacy Intervention Support Assistant help raise standards of literacy throughout the school in order to support pupils in the development of excellent literacy skills. The successful candidate will run small group literacy interventions for pupils to support student progress and engagement. The role may also require some in-class support of pupils. Experience of working with children in an educational setting is essential but training in any specific packages or approaches will be provided.
West Monmouth is an 11-16 mixed comprehensive school serving Pontypool and the surrounding area. West Monmouth has an excellent reputation within its community for both academic results and pastoral care and many pupils from outside our traditional catchment area have chosen to join us in recent years.
