Summary

Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all aspects of the Sleep Physiology Service, including strategic direction, recruitment, and quality assurance. Oversee clinical delivery, particularly in the diagnosis and management of obstructive sleep apnoea, supporting clinicians and upholding high standards of care. Collaborate closely with senior management to deliver a cost-effective, high-quality service, contributing to strategic planning and resource management. Foster a supportive team environment, providing professional advice and promoting best practices. Maintain and develop your own clinical expertise, driving continuous improvement within the service. Deliver specialised advice and education to medical professionals, students, patients, and company representatives. Perform and oversee key sleep investigations, including polysomnography, sleep latency tests, oximetry, actigraphy, and CPAP titration. Organise and manage the operation of the sleep service, including staff performance, training, and service development. Ensure equipment reliability, data protection, and compliance with Trust policies. Participate in research, development, and service improvement initiatives.
