Summary
Participate, under consultant direction, in the management of patients in the unit. Developing the ability to formulate appropriate management plans for both planned and emergency situations Participate in consultant led rounds Lead a weekly ward round reviewing and discharging patients as appropriate Working alongside the senior doctors in outpatient clinics Provide ward and clinic cover at SpR level for colleagues on NIV unit Participating in weekly Ventilation MDT and monthly specialised MND MDT There may be an opportunity to take part in the on-call rota if applicant wishes Seeing NIV referrals in-hours. Reviewing and liaising with intensive care units prior to transfer to ur unit for ventilator weaning. Participate in clinical audit, research projects relevant to the specialty Develop expertise in management of Complex patients in Sleep and get involved in polysomnography
