As part of The GORSE Academies Trust, we are passionate about ensuring that all children excel – regardless of background or additional needs. Reflecting our commitment to inclusive education, we are proud to introduce Little London Bridge, a specialist Resource Provision for children with Autism and/or Complex Communication Needs, which opened in January 2025.
This new provision joins our two established settings – Rainbow Base and Horizons – together supporting over 70 primary and secondary pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Little London Bridge is already benefiting from trust-wide expertise while establishing its own strong identity within the vibrant Little London community.
We are now seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join the team at Little London Bridge – a vital and rewarding role that supports the learning and development of pupils with additional needs and helps foster an inclusive, nurturing environment.
The potential applicant will have:• Completed the DfES Teaching Assistant Induction Programme or hold equivalent qualifications/experience.• An NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent experience in a classroom setting.• Experience working with or caring for children of a relevant age.If you’re passionate about supporting pupils with complex needs and committed to creating a learning culture where children thrive as independent, enthusiastic learners, this could be the perfect role for you.
What we offer you:
As a trust, we want to ensure that professionals at every stage in their career have the opportunity to enjoy expert support and training. We are pleased to offer a generous benefits package to our team – as we work together to create a rewarding future for all including:
• Membership of a teacher or local government pension scheme, depending on the role.
• A commitment to continued investment in our professionals, supporting every member of staff throughout their career in the trust.
• Access to an Employee Assistance Programme which provides confidential professional advice and support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• £2k Cycle to work scheme.
About us:
Little London Primary Academy joined The GORSE Academies Trust in February 2024. We’re proud of our school and the community we serve. Our pupils are supported to become thoughtful, responsible individuals who enjoy their learning journey and embrace challenge and perseverance.
Little London Bridge will grow over the next three years to support up to 40 primary-aged pupils with EHCPs and Autism/Complex Communication Needs. The provision includes multiple teaching spaces, a purpose-built outdoor area, rebound room, sensory room, and sensory integration room.
We’re excited about the future of Little London Bridge, which is helping to meet the growing demand for specialist provision in our local community and beyond.Closing date for applications: 19th January 2026 (9am)
