We are seeking to appoint a SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Rothwell Victoria School is seeking a calm, nurturing and experienced SEND teaching assistant We want all pupils to achieve their maximum potential within an inclusive. positive atmosphere where they can feel safe, healthy, happy, confident and motivated.

This rewarding role will involve working 1:1 with a child due to arrive with us as a year 3 pupil in September 2026, who experiences challenges with attention, concentration and engagement linked to ADHD and Autism. This pupil benefits from a highly structured, Early Years–style approach with hands‑on, motivating activities and requires movement and appropriate sensory strategies to help regulate.

Working alongside the class teacher, the successful candidate will implement individualised learning plans and create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.We are seeking a teaching assistant with the ability to provide consistent structure, clear communication and emotional reassurance. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, resilient, responsive to sensory and behavioural needs, and able to build a trusting, positive relationship to support the pupil’s confidence and engagement in school.

The role involves working under the guidance of the SENDCo and class teacher. The vacancy is for 32.5 hours per week (8:30am – 3:30pm) and is a term time only position.
