Summary
Hotel Maintenance Operative — Aysgarth Falls Hotel
Location: Aysgarth, North Yorkshire
Job type: Full-time
Help us keep Aysgarth Falls Hotel looking its best
We’re looking for a practical, proactive Maintenance Operative to help care for our buildings, guest bedrooms and grounds at Aysgarth Falls Hotel — home to Palmers Restaurant and soon welcoming guests to our beautiful new Hyllside Suites, opening in the New Year.
This is a key role, helping ensure everything runs smoothly, safely and looks its best for our guests.
What you’ll be doing
Carrying out day-to-day repairs and basic maintenance around the hotel
Painting, decorating and general handyman tasks
Minor plumbing, carpentry and basic electrical fixes (where appropriate)
Responding to maintenance requests from the team and guests
Assisting with preventative maintenance and routine checks
Working safely and keeping maintenance areas tidy and organised
We’d love to hear from people who
Have previous maintenance, facilities, or trades experience
Are confident with general repairs, tools and problem solving
Take pride in presentation and finishing jobs to a high standard
Can work independently, manage priorities and think ahead
Are flexible and happy to help across the hotel when needed
A trade qualification such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry or similar would be a real advantage — but not essential if you have solid experience.
What we offer
Competitive pay (depending on experience)
Varied, hands-on work across the hotel and grounds
Supportive management and friendly team environment
Training where required, plus opportunities to develop
The chance to play a key role as we continue to invest in the hotel, including the launch of the Hyllside Suites
If you’re practical, reliable and enjoy fixing things and taking pride in your work, we’d love to hear from you.
Apply now with your CV and a short note about your skills and experience.
