Personal Care Assistant - Primary School (Middleton)
Contract: Full-time | Term-time only
Hours: Monday-Friday | 8:30am-3:30pm
We are working with a caring and inclusive school in Middleton who are looking to appoint a Personal Care Assistant to support pupils who require assistance with their personal and medical care during the school day. This is a rewarding role suited to someone who is compassionate, patient and committed to supporting children's wellbeing and dignity.
The Role
As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide essential support to pupils who require help with daily personal care needs, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable and supported at all times. You will work closely with teaching staff, the SENCO and external professionals to follow individual care plans.
Key responsibilities include:

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:

Has experience providing personal care (school, care, or healthcare setting desirable)
Has experience providing personal care (school, care, or healthcare setting desirable)

Is confident supporting children with SEN and/or physical or medical needs

Is calm, nurturing and respectful at all times

Works well as part of a multidisciplinary team

Training in moving and handling, first aid or medical needs (such as feeding tubes or personal care plans) is desirable but not essential, as training can be provided.
