Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs? We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive SEN school through our education agency.
About the Role
As a Personal Care Assistant, you will support students who require additional help with their daily personal care needs. Your role will be essential in helping pupils access learning, develop independence, and feel safe and supported throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide personal care support including toileting, changing, hygiene, and mobility assistance
• Offer 1:1 or small-group support to students with complex needs
• Assist with feeding and mealtime routines where required
• Promote dignity, independence, and emotional wellbeing
• Work closely with teaching staff, therapists, and the wider school team
• Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding protocols at all times
What We're Looking For
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential)
• A caring, patient and non-judgemental approach
• Willingness to support personal care needs
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and equality
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one
