At Pear Tree Infant & Nursery School, we are a warm, inclusive, and creative learning community that serves a wonderfully diverse population. Our ethos is rooted in collegiality, wellbeing, and a shared belief that every child deserves the very best start in life. We pride ourselves on high expectations for all, fostering an environment where both children and staff can thrive.

Are you passionate about early years education and ready to make a real impact? Pear Tree Infant and Nursery School is seeking an outstanding Early Years Lead Teacher to join our friendly and dedicated team.

As EYFS Leader, you will:

• Be a qualified teacher (QTS essential) with proven experience in Early Years Foundation Stage.
• Be a highly skilled, inspirational and reflective classroom practitioner
• Be committed to nurturing curiosity, creativity, and confidence in our youngest learners, while contributing positively to our collaborative school culture.
• Lead our Early Years provision, raising standards of teaching, learning and pupil outcomes
• Support, coach and motivate EYFS staff
• Work closely with families and the wider community to give every child the best start to their education

What the school offers its staff

• A school that values creativity and celebrates individuality.
• A supportive, collaborative team that prioritises staff and pupil wellbeing.
• Regular wellbeing initiatives for staff and children.
• Opportunities for professional development and growth.
• A community of passionate educators who love making a difference — and have fun doing it.
• From September 2026: a brand-new, purpose-built school building with modern classrooms, inspiring learning spaces and state-of-the-art facilities designed to enhance learning, creativity and wellbeing. This state-of-the-art environment will provide modern classrooms, inspiring learning spaces, and facilities that support our commitment to high-quality education for every child.

If you are passionate about early years, have high expectations for every child, and are excited about shaping the future of our EYFS provision, we would love to hear from you!

Please note, this role is not suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECT’s).
