Summary

Production Operative
Grantham
£13.45ph - £14.22ph + Overtime opportunity
Temporary with the potential to become Permanent
Mon to Fri - 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm shifts, rotating weekly

Due to expansion our client located in Grantham are looking for a Production operative ideally with a counterbalance forklift licence and CNC experience. This is to join their small and friendly team on a temporary basis with the potential to become permanent for the right person. This role has become available due to continued success, expansion in their production team.

Production Operative duties within this position will include: -

Operate and support the setup of cutting equipment, which may include:
• Panel saws, vertical and horizontal band saws, beam saws, NC routers or CNC saws
• Loading and securing sheets/blocks safely
• Adjusting settings, dimensions, and cutting parameters in line with cut plans.
• Read cutting lists, job cards, and production orders.
• Check material thickness and tolerances before use.
• Safely move materials using manual handling techniques, lift-assist equipment, jib cranes, trolleys, or forklifts (if trained).
• Use vernier callipers, micrometres, squares, and gauges.
• Record measurements on job cards or digital systems.
• To be considered for this role you will preferably have experience in a workshop, manufacturing, plastic fabrication, woodworking or cutting environment as well as:-
• Comfort using production machinery.
• Ability to read measurements, cutting lists, and simple technical drawings.
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• CNC or laser cutting experience.
• Forklift truck licence (valid UK).
• Knowledge of tolerance control and batch production.
