Contract: Full-time, long-term (Full Academic Year)
Long Term Futures is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Brent to recruit a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). This pivotal role offers the opportunity to support learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, deliver planned lessons, and provide targeted interventions to help all pupils make strong progress.
About the Role
As an HLTA you will play a key role in supporting the school's teaching and learning across multiple year groups. Your day-to-day will include:
- Delivering high quality PPA cover lessons using teacher planning and school schemes of work.
- Supporting whole class learning with confidence and strong behaviour management.
- Leading small group and intervention work in English, maths, and wellbeing programmes.
- Adapting resources and scaffolding tasks to support pupils with additional needs.
- Working collaboratively with class teachers, SENCo and senior leaders to ensure continuity of learning.
- Modelling excellent practice and contributing to a positive learning culture.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience working as an HLTA, Senior TA or highly skilled Teaching Assistant.
- Skilled in delivering lessons and supporting learning across KS1 and KS2.
- Strong behaviour management with a calm, consistent approach.
- Secure subject knowledge in core curriculum areas and an ability to differentiate support.
- A proactive team player with excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Professional, adaptable, and able to build rapport with pupils and staff alike.
