We are looking to recruit an experienced care worker to support an 8-year-old young girl who lives in the Blyth area. The young girl is a happy individual who loves to take part in activities, engaging in tasks that meet her interests and being around those she is closest to. She loves to sing and listen to stories and somebody with a calm patient nature would be the ideal applicant. The young girl has complex care needs due to her cerebral palsy and somebody with experience of supporting individuals who are non-verbal with a visual impairment would be preferred.The support is for:
- 4 hours per week - 1 hour (4:30pm-5:30pm preferred) x 4 evenings per week (Monday to Thursday) during term time
- 10 hours per week during school holidays
- To support with all moving and handling elements
- To support with personal care
- To engage the child in activities and keep her occupied
- Support with PEG feeding, suction and medication may be required when on a longer shift.
