We are seeking a reliable and experienced Industrial Shot Blaster to join our clients team. The blast shed is a critical part of our operation, supplying three production areas with blasted components ready for powder coating or wet painting. This role offers a wide variety of work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

About the Role

You will be responsible for abrasive blasting of components ranging from small valves to 40’ containers, ensuring surfaces meet required standards prior to coating. This is a physically demanding, manual role that requires attention to detail, safe work practices, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
  • Inspect items for damage prior to blasting and report any issues immediately

  • Prepare items for blasting, including masking and protection of non-blast areas

  • Operate blasting equipment safely and efficiently to achieve specified blast profiles and cleanliness levels

  • Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of blasting equipment

  • Manually load and unload items, including lifting as required

  • Inspect blasted surfaces to ensure they meet quality standards before moving to the next process

  • Work in accordance with job instructions, specifications, and production requirements

  • Rotate between blasting areas as required

  • Assist with loading and unloading orders and preparation work outside the blast sheds when needed

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment

  • Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times

    Skills & Experience
    • Proven experience in abrasive blasting or a similar industrial role

    • Strong knowledge of blasting techniques, equipment operation, and maintenance

    • Physically fit and capable of manual handling in a demanding environment

    • High attention to detail and commitment to quality

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    • FLT and/or crane experience desirable but not essential

      What We Offer
      • Stable work in a well-established industrial facility

      • A varied role supporting multiple production areas

      • Supportive team environment

      • Opportunities for training and development

If you are an experienced blaster who takes pride in producing quality work and enjoys hands-on industrial work, we encourage you to apply.
