BSD supports the main purpose of the Insolvency Service, delivering economic confidence through:

The Redundancy Payments Service (RPS) deals with 60,000 to 100,000 applications from people in financial distress each year. RPS pays out around £250m to £400m each year to employees of insolvent companies, who would otherwise be left without redundancy payments and other associated payments.
