SEN Learning Support Assistant – Primary School (Basildon)
Full-time or Part-time | Immediate Start Available

We are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Basildon who are looking to appoint a SEN Learning Support Assistant to join their team. This role is available on a full-time or part-time basis, depending on the right candidate.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with Special Educational Needs, either on a 1:1 basis or within small groups, helping them access learning and reach their full potential.

The role will involve:

• Providing tailored support to pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD and additional learning needs

  
  

• Supporting learning, behaviour and emotional regulation within the classroom

  
  

• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies

  
  

• Encouraging independence, confidence and inclusion

  
  

• Supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom when required

  
  

  We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children with SEN (school-based experience preferred)

    
    

  • Is patient, caring and reliable

    
    

  • Can work well as part of a team and use their own initiative

    
    

  • Has a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs

    
    

  • Holds an enhanced DBS on the update service or is willing to apply for one
