Roles & Responsibilities
  • Intervention Delivery: Lead and manage bespoke 'catch-up' sessions in Literacy and Numeracy, specifically designed to accelerate progress for Key Stage 2 pupils.

  • Assessment Tracking: Assist the class teacher in the systematic recording of pupil progress, ensuring data is accurate and ready for review by the leadership team.

  • Specialist Support: Work alongside the inclusion team to deliver tailored support for pupils with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).

  • Environment Mastery: Take ownership of the classroom's physical and digital resources, ensuring they are prepared to the highest standard for every lesson.

  • Behavioural Mentorship: Actively implement the school's positive reinforcement strategies to foster a calm, purposeful, and safe learning environment.

  • Liaison: Maintain professional, confidential communication with parents and external specialists regarding pupil milestones and welfare.

Requirements
  • Qualification: Possession of an NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent) is essential for this post.

  • Experience: Verifiable experience of working within a primary setting where high academic standards and data-driven progress are prioritised.

  • Subject Knowledge: A strong grasp of the primary curriculum, with specific expertise in synthetic phonics and mental mathematics.

  • IT Literacy: Proficient in the use of classroom technology and educational software for tracking and reporting.

  • Compliance: Must hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to undergo a full check through Randstad.
