Dawat-e-Islami UK is a renowned global Islamic charitable organisation with centres across the United Kingdom. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a dedicated and detail focused Finance Administrator to join our Head Office team.

Key Responsibilities:
Record Keeping
Maintaining accurate financial records, including daily income and expenditure, and updating accounting systems.

Payments and Expenses:
Processing purchase and sales invoices, managing petty cash, handling staff expense claims, completing bank reconciliations, completing monthly ledgers, attending meetings, maintaining and updating finance records and assisting management

Payroll Support:
Assisting with payroll processes, including calculating staff payments and supporting related administrative tasks.

Financial Reporting:
Preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports, assisting with budgets, forecasts, and audit requirements.

Compliance:
Supporting VAT returns and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations including HMRC requirements.

Credit Control:
Monitoring and following up outstanding payments from debtors.

General Administration:
Maintaining organised filing systems, managing office supplies, and liaising with external contractors where required.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as iplicit
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good organisational and communication skills
Sound understanding of financial processes including VAT, PAYE, and HMRC requirements

Role Importance:
This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth day to day operation of the finance function. The Finance Administrator supports effective financial control, reporting, and planning, contributing directly to the organisation’s overall efficiency and sustainability.

Desirable Skills:
Experience in a similar role
Strong interpersonal skills with a courteous and professional manner

Education Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
Alternatively, A Levels or equivalent qualifications in accounting may be considered

Additional Information:
Language: English is required
Hours of Work: Part time or full time. Occasional weekend work may be required
Pay: Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications
Holiday Entitlement: Pro rata

Selection Process:

Interviews will be conducted either face to face or by telephone
Any offer of employment will be conditional upon satisfactory enhanced DBS clearance and completion of mandatory online training modules
