Fabric Engineer

Salary: £37,524.71 per annum

Working Hours: Permanent, Full time Position, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 07:00 and 16:00

Location: Cheltenham

We are looking for a skilled Fabric Engineer to join our team in Cheltenham, focusing on the delivery of both planned and reactive maintenance across our building fabric.

This role comes with an excellent benefits package, including a 2.5% ‘Golden Hello’ payment upon commencement and a £2,000 annual retention bonus (pro-rata for part-time employees), subject to achieving and maintaining necessary clearance levels.

Core Responsibilities:

Maintenance Delivery: Undertaking weekly and monthly planned maintenance tasks to ensure total site compliance.

Reactive Response: Diagnosing and repairing building defects and faults quickly to minimize business disruption.

Supervision: Overseeing on-site contractors to ensure work is completed safely and in line with Risk Assessments and SLAs.

Digital Reporting: Utilizing our CAFM system and PDA to track and report on work in real-time.

Safety Leadership: Maintaining a proactive approach to a safe, clean, and healthy environment, particularly within plant and FM-controlled areas.


Essential Requirements:

NVQ Level 2 in Painting & Decoration, or a comparable qualification in Building Fabric Maintenance.

Proven experience working within a commercial or industrial Facilities Management (FM) service delivery environment.

Fully IT literate, with specific proficiency in Google Workspace



Desirable:

Minimum of five years’ experience working within a similar commercial or industrial Facilities Management environment.
