Accounts Payable Assistant

Do you have experience working in a high-volume finance or data driven environment, and would love to use your skills to really make a difference and help change people's lives?

We're currently looking for two Accounts Payable Assistants (one permanent and one 6 month FTC) to join our fabulous Accounts Payable team here at Platform Housing Group, the largest social housing association in the Midlands, but we're much more than just houses; we build homes, strong communities, and make a real and positive difference to the lives of our customers.

As our Accounts Payable Assistant, you'll ensure accurate, complete, timely processing and maintenance of purchase related invoices and any related transactions in the financial systems and relevant ledgers. You will work with operations, corporate functions and suppliers to resolve invoice queries and work collaboratively to resolve root cause issues and improve on processes to enable timely payment to suppliers and recording of financial transactions/costs.What are we looking for?

-Experience working in a fast paced, high-volume processing environment and delivery of excellent customer service

-Comfortable working with a high volume of transactions.

-GCSE grade C (Level 4) and above, or equivalent relevant experience

-Ideally, you'll have previous experience within the housing sector, but this is not essential

-A proven track record of delivering results in a fast paced and changing environment

-Good problem-solving ability and desire to contribute new ideas to support continuous improvement.

While this role offers the flexibility of being home-based, occasional travel to Group offices and other locations, including Birmingham Business Park Solihull and Central Park, Worcester, is required.
