This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for stability and the chance to make a lasting impact on a Year 1 class throughout their foundational year.
We are specialising in placing committed support staff who can provide consistency for pupils. This role is ideal for a candidate looking to embed themselves within a school community and support the academic and social journey of Key Stage 1 (KS1) pupils through to the summer holidays.
- Provide consistent, long-term support within a Year 1 classroom, helping to maintain a stable learning environment.
- Deliver small group interventions daily, focusing on the development of early literacy, phonics (using schemes such as Read Write Inc. or Letters and Sounds), and numeracy.

- Build strong, professional relationships with staff, parents, and carers over the course of the academic year.
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, specialising in Key Stage 1 or Early Years.
- A long-term commitment: we need someone who is dedicated to staying with this class until July 2026.
- Solid knowledge of the National Curriculum for Year 1.
- A patient, nurturing, and energetic personality.
- The ability to work independently and show initiative within the classroom.
- Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude.
- A guaranteed long-term placement for the rest of the academic year.
- Competitive daily pay rates.

- Send in your up-to-date CV.
- Have a friendly initial chat with Jack at Long Term Futures.
- Complete the necessary compliance checks (Right to Work, DBS, and professional references).
- Undertake a brief video interview regarding safeguarding procedures.
- Attend a trial day at the school to meet the team.
