THE SERVICE
We work closely with the local authority with the aim to end local homelessness. We offer a personalised approach to working with individuals to manage risk and reduce associated harm from substance use and multiple exclusion. Our mission goes beyond simply providing shelter; we strive to build a community where everyone has access to safe, secure housing and the support they need to thrive.
Skywaves offers 21 self-contained rooms, along with shared communal spaces, designed to provide a safe, supportive environment for those facing some of the most difficult challenges. It is a service tailored to meet the needs of individuals who are actively using substances, coping with dual diagnoses, mental health conditions, or have faced multiple exclusions from other services.

Turning Tides is committed to developing psychologically informed environments that encompass key concepts of this approach, including ‘elastic tolerance;’ and strengths-based working. As such, candidates must be able to demonstrate their ability to work flexibly and creatively to create a culture that supports these values.
