Are you passionate about making a difference in people's lives, especially those experiencing homelessness or trauma? We’re seeking a dedicated Waking Night Worker to join our team, ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of our clients and premises during night hours. This role is essential to creating a welcoming, supportive, and safe environment for individuals who may be facing significant challenges, including trauma, mental health concerns, and substance use. If you are empathetic, resilient and motivated to support clients in a meaningful way, we’d love to hear from you.

You will be a compassionate yet assertive individual with a strong understanding of the complex needs of vulnerable individuals. You’re capable of creating a calm and welcoming atmosphere while effectively handling any challenges that arise. Your dedication to trauma-informed care, combined with a focus on safety and client well-being, will make you a key contributor to our supportive environment.
Key Qualities & Skills
Strong understanding of trauma, homelessness, and mental health issues
Skilled in active listening and building trust-based relationships
Decisive and capable of handling emergencies with a calm, problem-solving approach
Proficient in de-escalation techniques and managing challenging behaviour
Physically able to manage the demands of night shifts and conduct regular safety inspections
