Roles & Responsibilities

  • Classroom Leadership: Creating a high-expectations learning environment characterised by mutual respect, order, and a passion for enquiry.

  • Subject Stewardship: Taking ownership of a specific curriculum area, ensuring resources are effective and that the subject is taught with consistency across the phase.

  • Community Partnership: Maintaining a proactive and professional dialogue with families to ensure a unified approach to pupil development and well-being.

  • Professional Contribution: Engaging fully with peer-observation cycles and collaborative training sessions to continuously refine teaching practice.

Requirements
  • Certification: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is an essential requirement for this position.

  • Evidence of Impact: A proven track record of securing strong pupil outcomes and demonstrating progress in a primary setting.

  • Curriculum Mastery: Deep, up-to-date knowledge of the National Curriculum and current statutory assessment frameworks.

  • Adaptability: The ability to pivot teaching strategies to meet the needs of pupils with EAL, SEND, or those eligible for Pupil Premium.

  • Ethos: A commitment to the highest professional standards and a belief that every child can achieve excellence.

  • Compliance: A current Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service is required.
