We are currently recruiting for an experienced and confident Nursery Manager to provide maternity cover (9–12 months) for a well-established setting in Dagenham.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong leader with a proven track record to guide a dedicated team, ensuring high standards of care and education are maintained in line with Ofsted Outstanding outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the full operational management of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements.
Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), managing safeguarding across the setting.
Lead and inspire the staff team to deliver exceptional education and care.
Drive continuous improvement and high-quality teaching in line with the EYFS.
Maintain robust systems for audits, risk assessments, and health & safety.
Build strong partnerships with parents, external agencies, and the local community.
Manage administrative processes including staffing, rotas, and budget awareness.
Requirements:
Essential: Level 3 Early Years qualification (Level 5+ is strongly preferred).
Previous experience as a Nursery Manager or highly experienced Deputy Manager.
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
Excellent working knowledge of the EYFS, SEND Code of Practice, and Ofsted expectations.
