Hear at Link3 We are working with this vibrant, inclusive primary school dedicated to nurturing every child’s potential. We are looking for a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Global Developmental Delay (GDD), ensuring they access a high-quality curriculum and thrive in a supportive environment. Do you have hands on experience in a UK classroom setting. I am only looking for candidates who are able to demonstrate the skills, experience, and full understanding of supporting Pupils with complex needs. The Role
As an SEN TA, you will:
• Provide targeted 1:1 or small group support for pupils with GDD in EYFS and KS1/KS2.
• Deliver tailored interventions (e.g., communication, social development, fine motor skills).
• Adapt and implement activities aligned with pupils’ Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Collaborate closely with class teachers, SENCO, external therapists, and families.
• Monitor and track pupils’ progress, contributing to regular reviews.
• Maintain a nurturing, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
Essential Requirements
• Proven experience working in a primary school setting with children with Global Developmental Delay.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., TA Level 2/3, CACHE, NCFE, or equivalent).
• Enhanced Child Workforce DBS check.
• Strong understanding of SEN strategies and Primary curriculum.
• Excellent communication, patience, and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare per KCSIE guidelines
Desirable
• Training in Makaton, PECS, sensory processing strategies, or Team‑Teach.
• First Aid qualification.
• Experience working with pupils with ASD, Down’s syndrome, or SEMH alongside GDD
