Your new company
Hays are pleased to be working with a local manufacturing business who are looking for temporary support on a 6-month assignment.
Your new role
- Produce monthly management accounts in collaboration with the Finance Business Partner.
- Compile daily, weekly, and monthly management reports, ensuring timely updates to support informed decision‑making.
- Lead the finance team during the Finance Business Partner's absence, including direct liaison with the General Manager and Department Managers when required.
- Collate and prepare financial data for distribution to relevant departments.
- Oversee the internal EDI system for overhead invoices, ensuring accurate and up‑to‑date accounts payable records.
- Prepare consignment stock declarations and associated invoicing.
- Manage customer invoicing, including export invoicing to group companies, and storage recharge billing.
- Maintain and support the Business Intelligence reporting system - Maintain BI reporting.
- Review daily stock adjustments to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Maintain strong working relationships between Shared Services to ensure accounts payable records remain current and GRNI accuracy is upheld.
- Support internal and external audit requirements by preparing and providing requested documentation.
- Process ad‑hoc payments as required.
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering accurate reporting.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Communicates effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of financial KPIs and ratios, particularly those related to inventory.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Part‑qualified (AAT) or qualified by experience.
- Experience within logistics or stockholding environments would be beneficial.
