What You’ll Need
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Extensive background in teaching and education.
- Proven leadership experience within a school setting.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum.
- Experience in behaviour management, safeguarding, and trauma-informed approaches.
- A genuine passion for supporting pupils with SEND.
Desirable:
- Experience working in a specialist or alternative provision school.
- Additional leadership or SEND-related qualifications.
What You’ll Do
- Support the Headteacher in the strategic leadership and day-to-day running of the school.
- Lead on teaching, learning, and curriculum development within a specialist SEND setting.
- Promote positive behaviour, safeguarding, and trauma-informed practice across the school community.
- Coach, support, and develop teaching and support staff to achieve high standards.
- Monitor pupil progress and contribute to whole-school improvement planning.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and external professionals.
