Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Procurement Solicitor at Grade 9 to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in advising on and managing various procurement contracts and legal matters affecting our organization. With your extensive knowledge of public procurement legislation and procedures, you will guide stakeholders through the complex landscape of procurement law, ensuring compliance while achieving best value for the organization. You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of procurement documents, including contracts, tender documents, and legal agreements. Your expertise will support multiple departments, helping them to understand legal requirements and exposing them to innovative procurement practices. Additionally, as a Procurement Solicitor, you will represent the organization in legal proceedings and challenges related to procurement activities, fostering a culture of transparency and accountability. Your commitment to providing high-quality legal advice will be pivotal in supporting strategic objectives while mitigating legal risks. Responsibilities
Provide expert legal advice on procurement law and practice to various departments.
Draft, review, and negotiate procurement contracts and associated documentation.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures in procurement activities.
Advise on dispute resolution and represent the organization in procurement-related litigation.
Conduct legal research and keep abreast of changes in procurement law and regulations.
Train and support staff on procurement practices and legal requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop procurement strategies that align with organizational goals.
Requirements
Qualified solicitor with a relevant legal qualification and a valid practicing certificate.
Proven experience in procurement law, including public sector procurement.
Strong understanding of relevant legislation, including the Public Contracts Regulations.
Excellent drafting and negotiation skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and concisely to non-legal stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address legal challenges effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities.
Hours Per Week: 37.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £50.00
