About the Welder Fabricator Role
You will carry out MIG welding and general fabrication on heavy steel components, working from basic drawings to produce accurate and high-quality finished products. This role requires hands-on fabrication experience and the ability to work independently.
Alternative job titles include: MIG Welder, Fabricator Welder, Steel Fabricator, Plater Welder.
Key Responsibilities
MIG welding on mild steel and heavy fabrications
Working with steel structures, frames and bespoke fabricated components
Reading and interpreting basic fabrication drawings
Cutting, drilling, grinding and preparing materials
General fabrication duties as required
Maintaining workshop safety and quality standards
Experience Required
Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator
Strong MIG welding skills
Ability to work from fabrication drawings
Comfortable working with heavy steel fabrications
Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
