Location: Kingswinford, Dudley area
Pay Rate: £14.00 – £16.50 per hour
Shift: Day shift
Contract: Temporary to Permanent (long-term vacancy)
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Welder Fabricator to join a busy workshop in the Kingswinford, Dudley area. This is a long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent, offering competitive pay and varied, challenging work. The role will focus on structural steel projects and the fabrication of heavy stillages, requiring strong technical ability and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding a wide range of structural steel components, including beams, frames, and supports. You will also be working on the production of heavy-duty stillages used for storage and transport within industrial environments. Duties will include:
• Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings to ensure accuracy in fabrication.
• Measuring, cutting, drilling, and preparing steel sections for assembly.
• Carrying out MIG welding to a high standard, ensuring strong and durable joints.
• Fabricating bespoke steel structures and heavy stillages to meet customer specifications.
• Operating workshop machinery and tools safely and effectively.

• Following health and safety procedures at all times, particularly when handling heavy steel components.
Requirements
Applicants must have proven experience in structural steel fabrication and welding. Strong MIG welding skills are essential, along with the ability to fabricate independently and work from engineering drawings. Experience with heavy steelwork and stillage fabrication will be highly advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate reliability, precision, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Benefits
This role offers a competitive hourly rate of £14.00 to £16.50 depending on experience, day shift hours for a balanced work-life routine, and the opportunity to secure a permanent position. You will be part of a supportive team working on varied and challenging projects in a well-established workshop environment.
