We employ around 1,400 colleagues across more than 65,000 acres.We are committed to benefitting heritage, people and a shared future, preserving and enhancing our heritage assets, supporting our communities, and leading by example in how we do things.About the roleThe IT Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the effective day-to-day running of the Devonshire Group’s IT function.Reporting directly to the Head of IT, you will provide proactive administrative, organisational and governance support across all areas of the department. You’ll help ensure IT activity is well organised, documented, compliant and communicated clearly, enabling the wider IT team to focus on delivering secure, reliable and high-quality services to the Group.This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys bringing structure, clarity and organisation to a busy environment, and who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.This is a full-time role working 5-days a week from the Chatsworth Estate Office, near Edensor, Derbyshire. Hybrid working will be available with flexibility to meet business needs. There will be some travel to other Devonshire Group locations.What you’ll be doingCoordinating contractor bookings and site visits, ensuring access, paperwork and confirmations are in placeActing as a first point of contact for IT suppliers and contractors, escalating issues where appropriateProcessing authorised orders for IT hardware, software, services and connectivity changes, and tracking progress through to completionMaintaining accurate IT documentation including installation records, deployment notes, service information and process documentsSupporting the Head of IT with the preparation of simple governance reports, internal records and monthly checks and auditsProducing clear internal briefs, handover notes and user-facing how-to documentsCoordinating meetings, actions and communication across the IT team, ensuring information flows smoothlyLiaising with suppliers to monitor service status, follow up on orders and obtain quotes when requestedMaintaining up-to-date records of IT services, licences, connections and project-related activitySupporting IT activity across multiple Group sites as required About youYou’ll be highly organised, detail-focused and confident using a computer as part of your day-to-day work. You’ll be comfortable working with standard office applications, managing calendars and schedules, and keeping information accurate, up to date and easy to access.You’ll enjoy bringing structure to a busy environment and supporting others to work efficiently.We’re looking for someone who has:Strong general IT literacy and confidence using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and TeamsExperience managing calendars, meetings and schedules, including supporting senior colleaguesExcellent organisational skills with strong attention to detailClear written and verbal communication skillsA professional and discreet approach when handling sensitive or confidential informationThe confidence to work effectively with colleagues, suppliers and contractors It would be beneficial to have some familiarity with Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Project (or similar tools), and experience producing simple documentation or user guides.
