We’re excited to offer an incredible opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join our dedicated and professional Engineering
team in Doncaster!
The role is responsible for actively maintaining, developing, and enhancing plant machinery and associated services. This
includes a wide range of duties, from responding promptly to equipment breakdowns to installing new machinery. The position also
ensures that all work is carried out in full compliance with Health & Safety regulations and established Quality Standards.

Role Details:
Working Hours: Weekly Rotational Shift Pattern of 6am to 2pm (Mon to Fri)/ 10pm to 6am (Sun to Thur) / 2pm to 10pm (Mon to Fri)
Role Type: Permanent, Full Time Role
Location: Thorne, Doncaster
Salary: Up to £46,269.07
Your Duties Will Include:
* Perform routine and corrective maintenance on all machinery, fixtures, fittings, and buildings, including electrical systems.
* Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues to minimise downtime.
* Liaise with production and technical teams regarding ongoing maintenance requirements and engineering improvements.
* Procure plant and machinery components as required.
* Manage and organise spare parts for plant and machinery.
* Maintain accurate maintenance and engineering documentation.
* Complete all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities in line with company standards and agreed safe working
practices, ensuring optimal plant performance.
* Work collaboratively with engineering colleagues and production staff to achieve rapid and effective problem resolution.
* Promote a safe working environment while optimising machine efficiency and reducing waste.
* Monitor machinery and equipment performance, proactively identifying and implementing improvements to prevent breakdowns and
downtime.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues regarding safety concerns, quality issues, and machinery faults that may impact
performance or compliance.
* Support production through continuous improvement initiatives, engineering projects, and equipment reconfigurations as
required.
* Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with established business processes and quality management systems.
* Actively support the production department in all aspects of continuous improvement.
* Apply structured fault-finding techniques, including root cause analysis.
* Understand and apply the principles of maintenance and performance validation.
* Follow manufacturer maintenance schedules, lubrication requirements, and identify critical equipment locations.
* Apply best engineering practices to minimise the risk of product contamination.
About You:
* Experience in PLC Advantages but not essential
* The ideal candidate will demonstrate a background involving maintenance of a busy production line involving both mechanical and
electrical machinery.
* The candidate will enjoy challenging, problem-solving roles and be ideally suited to a fast-paced environment.
* The candidate should have good interpersonal skills and an ability to multi-task.
* Multiskilled electrically Bias who has completed a Level 3 engineering apprenticeship and previous experience in a similar role
is also required.
* Maintenance Experience in a factory environment.
* Able to run with projects and see it through to completion
* 17th or 18th Edition BS7671
* Refrigeration Knowledge
The ideal candidate will have skills around quality assessment and evaluation, product development, teamwork/collaboration and
strategic mindedness to support the Quality strategy and to interact with all key stakeholders to ensure changes are successful.
