Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, presentable individual who can work alone or as part of a team, with previous experience of using hand and power tools. Previous knowledge of data cabling would be a distinct advantage. Someone who is flexible and able to adapt quickly with good organisation and timekeeping skills, being courteous and professional are key qualities we are looking for.
You will be part of a team responsible for installations completing may tasks including:
• Terminating and testing of copper & fibre cabling.
• Installing and maintaining CCTV systems.
• Wireless infrastructure.
• AV system installations (interactive panels, projection solutions).
A large portion being in the education sector (DBS check is required). On the job training will be provided. You will also learn customer service skills, being professional in front of customers, dealing with situations if things go wrong, and handing the job over to the customer. You will be expected to always have high standards of presentation and be courteous to customers upholding our reputation for a premium customer service.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Previous experience of data cabling.
• Some IT knowledge.
• Be able to work as part of a team of by themselves.
• Be competent with hand and power tools.
• Be physically fit.
• Have a clean UK driving license to drive a manual vehicle.
• Flexible.
Training opportunities in additional to Manual handling and working at heights:
• Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS) card will be required as part of the role, (this can be sought after joining the company).
• PASMA scaffold erection.
• IPAF – Cherry picker operation.
If you would like to experience the role prior to application, then please let us know. This role is based out of our Spalding headquarters and cannot be completed remotely. It is essential to be local to our offices for transportation to site. Working days are Monday to Friday.
