We are recruiting for a Data and Integration Solution Designer in a large organisation as part of the permanent team. You will support the Head of Data alongside the data teams in developing scalable services that can meet organisational demand.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include designing reusable, service‑oriented data solutions and enabling other data teams to develop and extend them. You will investigate and recommend data solutions for projects, either by leading the design directly or by providing oversight and guidance. You will collaborate with business stakeholders and external partners to ensure solutions remain cohesive, scalable, and aligned with wider organisational goals.You will ensure data solution designs make effective use of existing components, integrations, and tools, proposing alternatives where needed to support the organisation's data architecture vision. You will identify training needs related to technical implementation and will compare and recommend solution options through high‑level analysis and conceptual design.
You will maintain an understanding of the organisation's data solutions landscape and tooling, advising where technical debt or refactoring is required to align with strategic data and architecture roadmaps. You will lead the creation and maintenance of delivery roadmaps for data platforms and technologies, supporting decisions on retention, replacement, or investment.
Your responsibilities will also include defining data and integration components, functional and non‑functional capabilities, and setting direction for design and development activities. You will maintain a catalogue of API integrations, promote standard integration patterns, and update conceptual data models as required.
