We have a fantastic opportunity for an Administrator to join us in our Nursing Services!As our Administrator, you’ll become an essential part of our Nursing Services team, providing high-quality administrative support and ensuring the smooth running of daily operations. You’ll also be the friendly face and first point of contact for visitors and callers, helping create a warm and professional environment for everyone who walks through our doors. This is a role where you’ll make a meaningful impact - supporting staff, service users, and partners through exceptional communication, coordination, and care.This role involves approximately 50% of the time providing administration and reception support to our Briarwood service. This service is our assessment unit which supports older adults with a diagnosis of dementia or dementia like symptoms, who are experiencing behaviours that challenge. Our team of experienced Staff Nurses and Support Workers assess individuals with differing diagnoses of dementia such as early onset Alzheimer’s disease, Korsakoff’s dementia and vascular dementia.The other approximately 50% of your time will be spent supporting bed flow administration for Nursing Services including accurate record-keeping, coordination with internal teams, and facilitating timely patient movement to ensure smooth operations and high-quality care delivery.This is a full time, permanent role. You will work Mondays to Fridays, 9am-5pm, based at Briarwood (Whitmore Road, Blaydon, Gateshead, NE21 4AN). Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, including reception duties, providing a welcoming, professional and compliant service environment.Undertake general administrative duties, including minute taking for internal and external meetings, to support the Service Manager, wider Nursing Services Team and Central Support functions.Provide administrative support to service coordination activities, including maintaining accurate service availability information and supporting effective communication between clinical and operational teams.Process referrals and related information from shared inboxes and update relevant systems to ensure accurate allocation and timely service delivery.Maintain accurate records, contribute to data reporting as required, and support compliance with regulatory, information governance, and organisational standards.Undertake any reasonable duties/responsibilities to meet the needs of the organisation. About you We would love to hear from you if you possess the following:Demonstrable experience working as a receptionist or administrator, ideally in a healthcare or care setting.Excellent verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a high-volume, pressured workload while maintaining emotional resilience.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to compliance, confidentiality, and accurate record keeping with awareness of GDPR and information governance requirements.Ability to problem-solve and provide practical administrative solutions.Ability to work independently and collaboratively, fostering effective working relationships.Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant administrative and CRM systems.Commitment to continuous professional development as part of the role.Regard for others and respect for individual rights of autonomy and confidentiality.Commitment to the organisations aims and values, supporting and promoting an organisational culture that appreciates: compassion, accountability, respect, excellence, and innovation.
