The role
We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Haddington team to play a crucial role in assisting our pharmacists to provide safe and effective medication administration to patients.
Hours
Hours will average around 31 hours per week ideally working Tuesday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm (with 1 hr unpaid lunch) and 1 in 4 Saturdays working 9am to 1pm.
We are happy to consider an alternative working pattern for the right individual.

Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications to patients
- Receive and process prescription orders accurately and efficiently
- Maintain proper storage and security conditions for drugs
- Handle customer enquiries and provide excellent customer service
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Prepare sterile products, under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Adhere to all relevant legal, ethical, and professional standards
Skills and experience:
- Qualified to NVQ3 or ACT level (or willing to progress to)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in using pharmacy software systems
- Knowledge of medication names, dosages, and common drug interactions
- Understanding of pharmacy laws, regulations, and procedures
