The Role
We are recruiting for a HR Manager to be based at our Walsall corporate office. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing core HR operations, ensuring legal compliance, and providing expert advice to senior management and staff.
Mandatory requirement: Applicants must have previously worked in an HR Manager capacity (or equivalent senior HR lead role) and be able to evidence this through verifiable employment history and references.

Key Responsibilities
HR Leadership & Operations
• Lead day-to-day HR operations, delivering a professional and responsive HR service.
• Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures aligned with UK employment law and best practice.
• Provide guidance to managers on employee relations matters (performance, capability, absence, conduct, grievance and disciplinary).
• Support recruitment and selection processes, ensuring compliant pre-employment checks.
• Oversee onboarding, probation reviews, staff records, HR documentation, and contract management.
Compliance & Employee Relations
• Ensure ongoing compliance with UK employment legislation and GDPR requirements.
• Maintain accurate, confidential HR records and reports.
• Support staff wellbeing and contribute to a positive, professional workplace culture.
Strategic HR Support
• Work with senior leadership to align HR activity with business priorities.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement practical solutions to strengthen HR systems and performance.

Mandatory Requirements (Applications will not be considered without these)
• Proven experience acting as an HR Manager (or equivalent senior HR lead role).
• All qualifications and experience must be fully verifiable (certificates and employment history).
• Ability to provide:
o Professional references (including at least one recent HR/line manager reference), and
o One character reference
• Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• High levels of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.

• CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above preferred).
• Experience supporting SMEs or multi-site operations.
• Experience implementing HR systems and improving HR processes.
