Accounts Assistant (Full-Time / Part-Time / Flexible / Subcontract)
Charity Assist Accountants Ltd is a specialist UK accountancy firm supporting charities and not-for-profit organisations. We are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to support our growing third-sector client base.
This role is suitable for:
Accountancy graduates
AAT students or AAT-qualified candidates
Overseas students with the right to work in the UK (subject to visa conditions)
Full training will be provided.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will support senior staff in delivering accounting and compliance services to charities and non-profit organisations.
Key responsibilities may include:
Bookkeeping and data processing
Bank and control account reconciliations
Assisting with preparation of charity accounts
Supporting VAT workings (where applicable)
Assisting with Gift Aid schedules
Maintaining accurate accounting records
About You
Studying or qualified in accountancy (degree or AAT Level 2–4)
Willingness to learn and develop, with good attention to detail
Genuine interest in the charity and non-profit sector
Previous third-sector experience preferred but not essential
Basic IT and accounting software skills (Xero experience an advantage)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Arrangements
Full-time or part-time roles available
Flexible working arrangements considered
Subcontractor roles may be available for suitable candidates
Salary / rates: National Minimum Wage and above (negotiable depending on experience)
