Crynodeb
We are looking for an experienced, organised, passionate and motivated individual with experience in mental health and vulnerable families.
The Wellbeing / Advocacy Officer / Youth Worker will provide high quality one to one advocacy support services and care to our clients individually or in groups. The individual will work with a team of staff and volunteers and on some occasions with student social workers on placement. 18-25 hrs p/w ( 3-4 days).
The individual will play a major role in supporting the Management team of Wellbeing Connect Services in delivering high quality services to our clients
Person specification: -
• Previous experience in mental health, advocacy/wellbeing support services, working in schools, youth activities and social care service provision to young people.
• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience or newly qualified social worker or therapist
• Project delivery and monitoring skills
• IT knowledge and skills very essential
• Excellent communication skills; organisational and relational skills at lower, middle and senior management levels
• Self-starter, ability to use own initiatives; take responsibility for tasks and accountable to the Director.
• Positive team-working attitudes
• Problem solving skills and able to work under pressure
• Previous experience in managing staff and volunteers with limited support
• Minimum qualification required is NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care or Advocacy or equivalent
• Ability to use social media and IT skills very relevant.
